How Many Calories Does YOUR Body Need Per Day?
Everyone needs a certain amount of energy for the body to carry out its’ daily functions. Your body continually burns calories to circulate blood, maintain lean body tissue, support brain function, and much more.
The number of calories to perform these functions is called your Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR), and can vary greatly from person to person.
This RMR test is a simple, reliable, non-invasive way to accurately determine how many calories your body burns at rest.
While there are mathematical formulas to forecast your RMR, they are highly flawed, and research has found them to be completely inaccurate.
Why Get RMR Testing?
Two people of the same height, weight, and gender can have very different baseline RMR results. Many variables can affect RMR including age, muscle mass, hormones, and genetics.
This RMR result will reveal your exact baseline calorie requirements.
Armed with the exact number of calories your body needs, you can accurately set targets for weight loss, weight gain, and weight maintenance, as well as body composition.
Repeating this test at intervals will give you information as to how your diet and training program affects your metabolism.
If your metabolic rate is increasing or decreasing, adjustments to your diet and exercise regime can to made to move you towards your goals.
