Grilled Corn on the Cob with Umeboshi Preserved Plum Paste

If you haven't tried Umeboshi plums - you're in for a treat. The paste is salty, sour, and will make you pucker up. A perfect accompaniment to sweet summer corn!

Ingredients

  • 4 ears of corn husk removed
  • 2 tbsp umeboshi plum paste
  • 4 basil leaves julienned

Instructions

  1. Grill corn over medium heat covered until kernels begin to char, turning occasionally
  2. Spread umeboshi paste on corn, and garnish with basil
